REMITTANCE OF CONTRIBUTIONS FOR SSS

Generally, the contributions imposed under the Social Security Act of 2018 shall be remitted to the Social Security System (SSS) within the first ten (10) days of each calendar month following the month for which they are applicable
Self-employed members shall remit their monthly contributions quarterly
An employer may be liable for failure to timely remit the contributions
PERMANENT DISABILITY BENEFITS UNDER THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM

The Social Security System (SSS) provides cash benefit to members with a total or partial permanent disability
The benefit is paid either as a monthly disability pension or one-time lump sum benefit
SSS member with a partial or total disability must have paid at least one-month SSS contribution before the semester of disability
