INCENTIVES AVAILABLE TO TOURISM ENTERPRISES OUTSIDE TOURISM ECONOMIC ZONES

Tourism enterprises outside Tourism Economic Zones (TEZs) may claim income tax holiday
They may also be entitled to import capital equipment free of duties and taxes
The grant of incentive is not automatic as they have to comply with the requirements of law
SUSPENSION OF WORK IN THE PRIVATE SECTORS BY REASON OF NATURAL OR MAN- MADE CALAMITY

Employers in the private sector, in the exercise of management prerogative, may suspend work during natural or man-made calamity.
Employee’s wage during suspension of work by reason of calamity will depend on whether he/ she worked on the said day, or whether or not the employee is uniformly paid by the month.
Employees who fail or refuse to work by reason of imminent danger resulting from natural or man-made calamity shall not subject to any administrative sanction.
ON REQUIRING EMPLOYEES TO POST CASH BONDS OR DEPOSITS

Generally, an employer requiring deposits for loss from his employees is not allowed
An employer engaged in business where the practice of making deposits is a recognized one, is allowed to require deposits from his employees
Unilateral imposition of cash deposit is not allowed
REQUISITES OF MARRIAGE

Future husbands and wives must have legal capacity to enter a contract.
Consent of the parties must be freely given in the presence of the solemnizing officer.
Absence of any of the essential or formal requisites shall render the marriage void from the beginning.
