IS THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP FROM THE SUBDIVISION OWNER-DEVELOPER TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTOMATIC?
Associations are encouraged to actively cooperate with the Local Government Units (LGUs) and the National Government Agencies (NGAs)
Where the LGUs lack resources to provide for basic services, the associations shall endeavor to tap the means to provide the same
NGAs shall consult the associations where proposed rules, projects and/or programs may affect their welfare
ATHLETES WINNING IN AN INTERNATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITION
A national athlete who wins in a regular major international sports competition is entitled to scholarship benefits
Athletes who have represented the country in international sports competitions who win gold, silver or bronze medals are entitled to cash incentives
Coaches of national athletes may also be entitled to cash incentives
ABANDONMENT OF WORK AS A GROUND OF DISMISSAL FROM EMPLOYMENT
Abandonment of work is a clear intent to discontinue one’s employment without any intention of returning back
Intent to sever the employer-employee relationship can be proven through the acts of an employee
Mere failure to report to work is insufficient to support a charge of abandonment
PROHIBITED ACTS UNDER THE MAGNA CARTA FOR HOMEOWNERS AND HOMEOWNERS’ ASSOCIATIONS
A homeowner cannot be deprived of his right to avail of or enjoy basic community services
Any member in good standing cannot be prevented from participating in association meetings
Any member who has paid the required fees cannot be prevented from exercising the right to inspect association books and records
