Contents of an Insurance Policy

A policy of insurance must specify the following: (a) the parties between whom the contract is made; (b) the amount to be insured except in the cases of open or running policies; (c) the premium, or if the insurance is of a character where the exact premium is only determinable upon the termination of the contract, a statement of the basis and rates upon which the final premium is to be determined; (d) the property or life insured; (e) the interest of the insured in property insured, if he is not the absolute owner thereof; (f) the risks insured against; and (g) the period during which the insurance is to continue. (Section 51, R.A. No. 10607 or the Insurance Code of the Philippines)

The National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW) shall be renamed as the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), the primary policy-making and coordinating body of the women and gender equality concerns under the Office of the President.

When is there over-insurance?

Over-insurance, on the other hand, is when the insured takes out an insurance over the property insured in an amount which is in excess of the value of his insurable interest.

Over insurance by double insurance exists when there are two or more policies on the same adventure and interest or any part of it, and the sums insured exceed the insurable interest value in the case of an unvalued policy or the value fixed by the policy in the case of an unvalued policy or the value fixed by the policy in the case of a valued policy.

National Time Consciousness Week

The “National Time Consciousness Week” shall be institutionalized and celebrated every first week of the year.

All national and local government offices, including all schools, public or private, shall conduct a continuing information campaign about the value of time and the need to respect the time of others, in order that the people may realize the imperative of synchronizing the official time.

The Philippine Standard Time Act (PST) of 2013 mandates all national and local government offices to display the Philippine Standard Time (PST) on their official time devices in accordance with the time provided by the PAG-ASA using its network time protocol.

All offices shall coordinate with PAG-ASA regarding the synchronization of their official timepieces and devices at least once a month. (R.A. No. 10535, otherwise known as The Philippine Standard Time (PST) Act of 2013)
