A deed of sale is a contract between the seller and the buyer of a property whereby the former has the obligation to deliver said property and the latter to pay the price agreed upon by the parties. Absent consent, determinate subject matter or price, the sale is void. (Art. 1458, Civil Code of the Philippines)

The employer may allow a flexible working schedule for solo parents provided that it will not affect the individual and company productivity (Section 6,Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000)

The second week of April of every year is declared as the Livestock and Poultry Week in the Philippines, according to Proclamation No. 658, series of 1979.

Battered Woman Leave refers to paid leave of absence of up to ten (10) days given to female employees who are victims of violence under Republic Act No. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004.

Corporate records can be inspected by any director, trustee, stockholder or member of the corporation, in person or by a representative, at reasonable hours on business days. A demand in writing may be made to request copies at the expense of the requesting party. (Section 73, Revised Corporation Code)

The Minimum Corporate Income Tax (MCIT) effective 1 July 2020 until 30 June 2023 is 1%. Starting 1 July 2023, the MCIT is 2% of the gross income of the corporation as of the end of the taxable year pursuant to the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act.
